Game Report by Penticton: Game Report by Brown Benefits:
In a close game that ended in a fair result, Browns took the lead 1-0. Penticton then scored 2 goals from Darryl Pace and Jim La Rocque and Brown's tied it up with about 10 mins to go. Final Score 2-2
In a rematch of last year's championship final, Brown Benefits and Penticton United scrapped out a fiercely contested 2-2 draw.
Penticton started brightly and had the better of the opening exchanges. Jim La Rocque sprung the offside trap and dashed in to open the scoring. The Browns edged their way back into the match and Tony Gonzales tied it up with a shot off the underside of the crossbar early in the second half. Penticton retook the lead when Zeke Pescada's shot was parried by keeper Gord Regan but Darryl Pace pounced on the rebound and slotted it home. The Browns poured on the pressure and came close when Gonzales hit the crossbar again. An inspired substitution by Coach Scott Sieben paid dividends when Don Brown reentered the match on a corner kick. Brad Heuser's shot hit the crossbar and Brown nodded the ball into the open net from a yard out with 10 minutes left in the game.
